I'm exceptionally good at the strategy and execution this requires. I've done it for corporations like Adobe and Coursera, for top-tier research universities, for start ups, for digital media companies. A bit more about me.
I've built communications for archival collections at the Library of Congress. Yes, it was amazing. Yes, I touched the original libretto for West Side Story. I also worked with a diverse group of people to make systems and processes that were wide-ranging and efficient enough to represent America's treasures and institutions with care.
I've managed writing and communications groups at universities across the United States. This meant not just creating curriculum, but developing content that represented organizational initiatives, achieved stakeholder approval, and supported both individual departments and the university as a whole. I also got rocket scientists to commit to comma rules.
I've been a book reviewer and reporter at a newspaper. Reviewing books was an absolute treat, being a reporter was a grind, but journalism is where I learned to craft sellable angles, tell stories strategically, and communicate the right message to the right people when it matters most.
I've served as Creative Director at a startup, leading all internal and external content needs: from organizing a social media strategy, to writing a website that hooks both investors and clients, to pitching ideas to all the important people, to curating the public face and voice of the company.
Most recently I've been in the trenches at a creative agency dreaming up, planning, and building cool stuff (like podcasts, videos, killer taglines and messaging, and thought leadership) that lets brands and organizations reach their audiences with the best blend of voice, impact, and purpose.
